TestMyLaptop is a free collection of browser-based hardware diagnostic tools for laptops and PCs. There is nothing to download and nothing to install — every test runs in your browser.
Our one rule: don't pretend
A web browser genuinely can test a lot: every key on your keyboard, dead pixels on your screen, your webcam and microphone, your speakers, your network speed, and more. But a browser cannot read true CPU temperature, exact RAM size, or whether a drive is really an SSD — that information is sealed off for security reasons.
Many sites blur that line and present rough guesses as precise readings. We don't. Where a result is a real measurement, we mark it. Where it is an estimate, we say so plainly. That honesty is the whole point of this project.
Who it's for
Anyone checking the health of a computer — people buying a used or refurbished laptop, technicians doing a quick on-the-spot check, gamers verifying peripherals, and everyday users diagnosing an annoying fault before paying for a repair.
How it's funded
The tools are free to use. The site is supported by advertising, which lets us keep everything free and continue adding new tools and guides.
